Refreshing Green Juice
If you want a light, refreshing and zesty green juice try this recipe. Plus, I only used a little bit of green, so this could be a juice you start with if you don't like the taste of greens because it got covered with the other ingredients.

Wash them well |

Cut them if you are using a blender like me |
1 peeled mango

Melon Forest Green Juice
Hello everyone!
I really wanted to add melon into my juice. I was going to have way less, but then I had to save the melon because it was going bad on one side!
Note: Make sure to wash your greens really well especially the leaves.
I usually cut my ingredients because I use a blender and it blends it quicker and easier this way
Ingredients:
The ones shown in the picture, but here they are written:
One melon half
1 unpeeled green apple
4 celeries
half a lettuce
punch of coriander
a bit of mint
1 peeled lemon

Summer Zest Green Juice
Happy Weekend lovely people!
You are all aware that the month of fast, Ramadan is tomorrow! Two posts about it will be coming soon :D
I started fasting since last week and since I am being spoiled back home with lots of food *mashallah*, I decided to stop myself of the fear of turning into an elephant by the end of the month. I decided on a little trick to boost me up and fill me with health and goodness, which is breaking my fast with not only dates, but with green juice! I tried the -sort of- proper juicer first, which made it very liquid like, but it separated all the good fibers! That totally defats the purpose of a green juice for me. So I put them back into a blender. It took me ages, but worth it at the end. I prepared a whole plate full of greens to make a whole jug, but it turned to be only fourth the jug.
Ingredients:
I am no juicing expert, so apologises in advance if you make it and hate it! lol,, I am still experimenting and reading about it. Ideally, you should drink it on an empty stomach to get the maximum benefit. Next stop: melon green juice!

This sums it all up! |
but if you want more details then I used half of a large lettuce head, a handful of mint, about five branches of coriander, two peeled limes, one peeled lemon, four unpeeled carrots, one unpeeled red apple and a small piece of ginger.
Note: be very careful washing your greens!
Added all above into juicer then blender and got my green juice. I forced my mother and grandfather to try it with me. They weren't super keen, but they gave it ago anyway! I think it was too green for them.
The taste was like a salad in a cup with extra lemons; mild and chewy. It was not sweet. If you are just starting and not used to the taste of plain salad, use another apple and less greens.

A Greener Life
Happy Sunday Everyone!
This month I decided that some aspects of my lifestyle needed to change; physically and spiritually. I made a whole plan and everything. Let's hope I actually stick to it! One of the changes I really wanted to make was to add more greens into my daily diet. Weather has been bad for my skin and as my mom says: "If you want to be prettier eat more fruit and veg." I am finally listening to her. I wanted to do it daily, but juicing and consuming it requires time. It takes me 20mins to make it and it takes me almost half an hour to drink it. Then I wait about 15mins to eat breakfast. So, I am only doing it four days a week.
Everyone on Facebook and Instagram was wondering how the green juices I made tasted and let me tell you they were actually good. I generally love the taste of vegetables and fruit, so the taste wasn't a total shock to me. Some tasted sweeter than others, but over all I enjoyed it. My tummy was a little overwhelmed with the amount of fibbers at first, but it will get used to it.
The biggest change I noticed is my energy levels are getting a little better! I do drink tea midday so I have a little caffein injection, but the juice helped me stay awake for longer mashallah.
This is how my first week went!

My First ever green juice! The amount of ginger I put in it was a little over kill, but otherwise it turned out pretty good! |

Looks similar to the above, but tasted very different. The strongest taste was the cucumber. |

The kiwi was a little soar and I would replace it with an apple next time. It was good overall! |

I needed to use my oranges hehe! That was the first time I tried kale! It was stronger than the spinach |
